How can we help?
Answers to common questions are below. If yours is not here, email apps@suvysoft.com and include your iPhone model and iOS version.
Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone only. ExpTracker has no account, no login and no server, so we never see your entries. See the privacy policy for details.
What do I need to run ExpTracker?
An iPhone with the iOS version listed on the App Store page. ExpTracker is built for iPhone; there is no iPad or Mac version.
Is ExpTracker free?
Yes. Unlimited entries and accounts, categories, the daily, calendar and monthly views, stats, search and the quick add bar are free for good. Some advanced tools are an optional upgrade inside the app. There are no ads in any version.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open your Apple ID subscriptions, or on iPhone go to Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Your upgrade stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
I upgraded but it is not showing. What do I do?
In the app, open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID you bought with. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com, since Apple handles all payments.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Moving to a new iPhone with Quick Start or an iCloud or computer backup brings ExpTracker's data along with your other apps. You can also use Settings, Backup & Restore to save a backup file and restore it on the new phone. ExpTracker does not sync between devices in the current version.
Can I import from Money Manager or my bank?
Yes. Settings, Import from Money Manager reads a Money Manager (Realbyte) backup file on your iPhone. Import CSV lets you map the columns of a bank or card statement and skips entries that look like duplicates.
Why does a credit card bill payment not show as an expense?
Because the spending already happened when you used the card. Paying the bill moves money from your bank to the card, so ExpTracker records it as a transfer. Your stats stay correct and are not counted twice.
Does ExpTracker read my SMS?
No. iOS does not let any app read your Messages. In Settings, Bank SMS, the app shows how to set up a Shortcuts automation on your iPhone that passes bank SMS text from supported banks to ExpTracker. Each message becomes a draft in To review on Home for you to confirm. OTPs, offers and balance messages are ignored, and the same payment is never added twice. This needs a real iPhone.
How do I add an entry with Siri?
Say “Add expense in ExpTracker”, then something like “coffee 20”. You can also run the Quick Add shortcut from the Action Button or Back Tap. See Settings, Siri & Shortcuts in the app.
Can I read a payment screenshot or a receipt?
Share the screenshot or photo to ExpTracker from Photos or any app. The amount, payee, date and payment reference are read on your iPhone and shown for you to confirm. The image is not uploaded anywhere.
I deleted something by mistake.
Tap Undo right after deleting, or open Settings, Recently Deleted to restore it.
How do I delete all my data?
Use Settings, Delete All Data, or delete the app from your iPhone. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
