Effective 20 October 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how ExpTracker, an iPhone app published by Suvy LLC (“we”, “us”), handles your information. The short version: ExpTracker stores your data on your iPhone only, and we collect nothing.
Summary
ExpTracker has no account or login, no server of ours, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data. On the App Store, ExpTracker is listed as “Data Not Collected”.
Data stored on your iPhone
Everything you enter stays in the app's storage on your iPhone: accounts, balances, transactions, categories, notes, payees, tags, budgets, recurring entries, loans, templates, drafts, receipt photos and settings. We have no copy of it and no way to read it.
Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to a computer) may include the app's data, as for any app. Those backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us.
iCloud sync
The current version of ExpTracker does not sync. If a future version offers iCloud sync and you turn it on, your data would be stored in your own private iCloud database through Apple's CloudKit service. Suvy LLC cannot read that database. We will update this policy before any such feature ships.
Bank SMS
ExpTracker never reads your Messages and cannot access them. If you choose to set up the optional Shortcuts automation described in the app, your own automation passes the text of a bank SMS to ExpTracker. The app reads the amount, account and other details on your iPhone and saves a draft for you to confirm or edit. The text is not sent anywhere.
Screenshots, receipts and the camera
When you share a payment screenshot or a receipt image with ExpTracker, or attach a receipt photo, the text in the image is recognised on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. Images and the recognised text stay on your iPhone.
The app asks for camera access only when you choose to take a receipt photo, and for permission to add to your Photos library only when you choose to save a receipt image there. ExpTracker does not browse your photo library; the system photo picker gives it only the images you select.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you use the Quick Add action with Siri or Shortcuts, the text you give it is processed by ExpTracker on your iPhone. Speech recognition for Siri is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We receive nothing.
Notifications
Card due reminders, recurring entry reminders, budget alerts, draft confirmations and the optional evening reminder are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push notification service or server of ours is involved. If you reply to the evening reminder with text, that text is turned into entries on your iPhone.
Face ID and passcode lock
If you turn on the app lock, iOS checks your Face ID or device passcode and only tells ExpTracker whether the check passed. Your biometric data is handled by iOS and is never available to the app or to us.
Purchases
ExpTracker Pro is sold through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, card or Apple ID. The app checks with StoreKit on your iPhone whether you have an active Pro purchase. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Apple may share anonymous, aggregated sales reports with us, as it does for every developer; these do not identify you.
Export, import and backup files
CSV, Excel and PDF exports and backup files are created on your iPhone. They go only where you send them using the iOS share sheet, for example to Files, Mail or another app, and are then handled by that destination. Importing a CSV file, an ExpTracker backup or a Money Manager backup also happens entirely on your iPhone.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual entries at any time, or everything at once with Settings, Delete All Data. Deleting ExpTracker from your iPhone deletes all of its data on that device. Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover deleted data, and there is nothing for us to delete on request.
Children
ExpTracker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how ExpTracker handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
